The Festival is organised by the Prefectural Administration of Laconia and the Organisation for Cultural Development (OPANAL) in particular. The event was designed in such a manner that it would "respond" to the demand for the creation of a special institution to spread throughout Laconia, comprise Laconia as a whole, join all noteworthy cultural (and not merely cultural) activities of Laconia and ultimately promote the prefecture's new identity. This is, of course, a "central" plan that would not have otherwise been made possible had it not been for the involvement of an organisation of the magnitude of the Prefectural Administration of Laconia.

The Festival will be evolving year after year, thus constantly comprising new places of the prefecture depending on the area of interest in each case. Sparta will undoubtedly be the focal point of the event, in its capacity as the prefecture's historical and administrative centre. That implies a stable and creative synergy with the Municipality of Sparta, starting from this year's first, pilot event. Sparta is called upon to promote its historical heritage and at the same time underline its contemporary new identity.

The organisations set forth below also take part in the 2007 event:

The Municipality of Inounda, an energetic municipality of Laconia that has managed to make an unforgettable mark throughout Greece thanks to the successful organisation of the "Annual Olive and Oil Festival". The said event, held in Sellassia, entails many of the elements that the Festival aims at enhancing and that is why it holds such a special and honorary place in this year's agenda. Reinforcing the identity of the said event with elements inherent in the central philosophy of the annual festival also implies the strengthening of its dynamics and its promotion.

Geronthres is a municipality with vast potential and a type of dynamics that the event aspires to strengthen. With Geraki - a unique place abounding in archaeological and historical imprints and traditions that must regain their lost ground - being the focal point, the Festival aims at conducing towards the creation of a new "identity", which will take full advantage of all the above, thus helping Geraki blaze a new trail of growth. That is, after all, a common goal.
